Buying pre-construction: expect changes, buy from a builder you trust

Some Torontonians may have heard about the new condo owner who is suing the developer for misrepresentation and breach of contract. The woman alleges that the pre-construction marketing materials she was shown featured, as a prominent selling point, an underground tunnel connecting the condo tower to a nearby subway station. When the buyer moved in, she found there was no such tunnel. The condo developer disputes her claim about the tunnel. Some have taken a “what did you expect?” attitude regarding the case.
